Water Action

Water is a fundamental part of all aspects of life. It integrates social, cultural, economic and political values. With climate change profoundly affecting our economies, societies and environment, water is the biggest deal breaker to achieve the internationally agreed water-related goals and targets contained in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.  Already, over 2 billion people live in countries experiencing high water stress, and the world is not on track to ensure everyone is reached with safe water by 2030. Without water, food production stops, cities cease to function, economic activity grinds to a halt and greenery turns to desert. Such issues cannot be addressed in isolation.

Commit to change through the Water Action Agenda now. To give an extra boost, the Netherlands and partners are hosting several sessions with direct linkages to the UN 2023 Water Conference. Are you ready to play your part?
