GLOWASIS: providing access to water scarcity

Goals

The main objective of GLOWASIS is to pre-validate a GMES global service for water scarcity information on both a European and a global scale. It will do so by combining hydrological modelling information with in-situ and satellite water cycle information, as well as statistical water demand data, in three pilot projects. Information will be presented and disseminated through an open source and open-standard web-based portal: a one-stop-shop for water scarcity information.
