The 5th international conference on climate change adaptation will take place in Cape Town, South Africa from 18-21 June 2018. Adaptation Futures is a biannual conference for scholars, practitioners, policymakers and business people to connect, learn and bring coherence to climate adaptation solutions.

Adaptation Futures is the biannual conference of the Global Programme of Research on Climate Change Vulnerability, Impacts and Adaptation (Provia), an initiative hosted by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to guide and bring coherence to adaptation research worldwide.
The first International Climate Change Adaptation Conference was held in Brisbane, Australia in 2010, the second in Tucson, USA in 2012 and the third in Fortaleza, Brazil in 2014.
The 2016-edition took place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and attracted a record number of over 1,700 participants from more than 100 countries (read a full report on this website).
