The second Ministerial conference of the Delta Coalition will be hosted by Bangladesh and will take place in Dhaka. Each of the twelve member countries will participate in this event. Themes to ne discussed include delta financing and coastal delta management.

On the 28th and the 29th of July the second Ministerial conference will be hosted by Bangladesh and will take place in Dhaka. Each of the twelve member countries of the Delta Coalition will participate in this event.
Two major theme’s such as the Delta Financing and Coastal Delta Management will be discussed.
Fresh and clean water
Given the inseparable need of water in life and livelihoods, which is well placed in SDG 6, Dhaka is focusing on action and momentum on water issues with a view to ensure a resilient future. With a final goal of assuring future generations the fullest access to fresh and clean water.
During this conference of the Delta Ministerial and Working Group meeting, Bangladesh is also going to hold the High Level Panel on Water (HLPW) Regional Water Conference (RWC).
The conference will be opened by the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
More resilient river deltas.
The first conference took place when the Delta Coalition was officially launched in Rotterdam on 10 May, 2016
The Delta Coalition is world’s first international coalition of governments that have formed a partnership to deal with this problem and to get things done to make Delta’s more resilient.
The chairmanship of the Delta Coalition has been handed over to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh by the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
