ANF joined forces with Basecamp Foundation, a non-profit tourism organisation with tented camps in developing countries. One of their camps in Kenya is Basecamp Masai Mara, just outside Masai Mara National Reserve.

Last year the Norwegian non-profit investment and participation foundation Aqua Nirvana became a partner of Dutch research institute Wetsus and recently started to operate from Watercampus Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.

Naturally filtered water
ANF representative Robyn Parent said, "We are so pleased that the water filters are now up and running. Everyone at the scene was jumping up and down when we saw the naturally filtered water gushing out of the pipe and everyone started hugging in cheers of celebration."

Parent: "The water purification filters, developed by our partners at Wetsus, will remove contamination from the existing water system. For the people at Basecamp Masai Mara, having access to water free from parasites means that they are finally able to drink safe water, without having to worry about becoming sick."

Dutch water technology hub
WaterCampus Leeuwarden, is the physical hub of the Dutch water technology sector with many cooperations between international and national businesses, knowledge institutes and governments, creating synergy for world class innovation, education and entrepreneurship.

One of the main institutes present at WaterCampus Leeuwarden is the science research centre on innovative water technology, Wetsus.

Andreas Greve-Isdahl of ANF recently commented: "Moving into the new WaterCampus building in 2015 will undoubtedly further increase the collaboration between ANF and the other water organisations on WaterCampus Leeuwarden. We are confident that this will lead to further partnerships, working together to end the global water crisis."
