At a pre-event of GES2019 in Las Vegas (USA) Dutch and US companies discussed the importance of an event for high-impact entrepreneurs. Here Corinne Vigreux, co-founder of Dutch navigation technologies company TomTom, explains the importance of an ecosystem for entrepreneurs to scale up.

More bankable water projects
There is one more reason for entrepreneurs to participate. To join in on discussions with financers to make more water projects bankable to be able to reach the Sustainable Development Goal 6 on water by 2030.

By involving financers at an early stage of the development of new water technologies it will become easier to roll out the technical solutions globally.

Shared ownership
"With shared ownership, water projects last longer", says Dutch special water envoy Henk Ovink. Ovink will be at the summit sharing the latest experiences with the Water as Leverage programme in three Asian cities.

"In those cities we are seeking ways to integrating water solutions in other infrastructure projects, such as the creation of parks, harbours, roads or district renovation", Ovink explains.

Join discussions with financers
Ovink invites tech entrepreneurs to join the discussion with him and the financers that will be present at the summit.

"I take pride in your innovative technologies, your capacity to connect and collaborate globally", the water envoy continues. "Together we show how to run water approaches, inclusively and comprehensively, and show the world to deliver on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development".

Ovink: "Join me and possible partners from around the world to connect, find opportunities to invest, implement and scale up and replicate your best projects. Let’s show the world this best global investment opportunity."
