Blended: live and online

To ensure no-one is left out, Aquatech Amsterdam has blended live and online combining the best of both worlds. Blending offers the possibility to upscale or downscale live and online as the world navigates the complexities of a global pandemic.

In 2019 Aquatech Amsterdam attracted over 1,000 exhibitors and 22,600 international visitors. The situation in 2021 is of course different, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But research commissioned by Aquatech confirms that water professionals are ready to come to Amsterdam in November and meet in person.

Aquatech Amsterdam is the world’s leading exhibition for process, drinking and wastewater, featuring a European trade exhibition with a 100 percent focus on water. The exhibition offers a complete product overview of market leaders worldwide.  This year entrepreneurs will again present their new products and services on the show floor and on the AquaStages.

The event is part of the Amsterdam International Water Week (AIWW).

All about innovation

One day before the official opening of the exhibition, the Aquatech Innovation Forum will take place on 1 November. The forum was held for the first time in 2019 and proved highly appreciated by water professionals involved in new smart water technology.

Additionally, the Aquatech Innovation Award once again sets out to recognise world-class innovation and technologies that have the potential to disrupt the global water market.

This year a total of 12 innovative technologies have been selected by an expert jury in the lead up to the flagship Aquatech Amsterdam event. Award entries were submitted across five categories, with the jury identifying nominees from each category to be considered as candidates for the overall prize. These categories are: Innovation – not yet to market; Transport and Process & Control; Waste water treatment; Water Supply (drinking water, clean water, including point of use/entry); and new this year, Green chemicals for water technology.
