Aquatech China
Aquatech China, the leading international exhibition for process, drinking, and wastewater in China and Southeast Asia, will take place from 5 to 7 November 2025 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).
Investments in water infrastructure
China is investing heavily in water infrastructure to address growing shortages, particularly in urban areas. With a national mandate for cities to reclaim 25% of used water and the planned construction of 100 new sewage treatment plants, the country’s commitment is clear. In the last quarter alone, over USD 11 billion was invested in the water treatment market, with more than 126 new projects launched, valued at over USD 14 million.
The exhibition covers all aspects of water technology: from drinking water and industrial applications to wastewater and sludge treatment, smart water systems, and integrated water management. Environmental protection policies, stricter enforcement, and the urgent need for clean water are creating significant opportunities for international (waste)water technology providers.

Netherlands Pavilion
As in previous years, the Netherlands Pavilion will be a central platform at Aquatech China, highlighting Dutch excellence in water technology. A wide range of Dutch companies will present their innovations, offering visitors the chance to engage with experts and explore partnerships in sustainable water solutions.
Participation is open to all Dutch companies. Dutch SMEs can apply for an RVO-issued SIB voucher covering up to 50% of participation costs (maximum €2,500).
The Netherlands Pavilions in China is organised by RAI Amsterdam, in cooperation with RVO, NWP, and the Dutch embassies, consulates, and NBSO offices in China.
