The first fully virtual IWA #WorldWaterCongress aims to bring together global stakeholders from the water sector and covers the full water-cycle, from water resources to wastewater recovery – connecting the dots for a water wise world.

Connecting the dots for a water-wise world

The Digital World Water Congress is being run across 8 days between 24 May – 4 June 2021. This major virtual event will focus on the biggest issues affecting the water sector, from Covid-19 to progress towards reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The congress includes 32 hours of presentations from scientists, academics and sector thought leaders.

IWA has put together an elaborate programme consisting of plenary sessions with keynote speakers, technical presentations from industry experts, smart-networking and social opportunities accessible through a dedicated platform. There will also be a poster hall, with presentations and Q&As available from each author. The event also plays host to the IWA awards, as well as featuring a poster hall, networking opportunities, and much more.

IWA’s 2021 Awards

The awards, held every two years, recognise the outstanding achievements of IWA members and water sector professionals within the following categories: IWA Global Water Award, IWA Women in Water Award, Professional Development Award, IWA Young Leadership Award and IWA Membership Awards. Each winner will receive an official certificate and will be invited to give a short speech to inspire and motivate the audience.
