Deltares holds webinar for companies to get involved in catchment basin management

'How to take action and manage water risks beyond the fence-line' is the title of a webinar by Dutch reasearch institute Deltares that will take place on Tuesday 14 June at 10 am and 5 pm central european time (CET).

The seminar is about mitigation of water related risks and the need to address the impact on a catchment as a whole.

Adverse water risks
Global water crises are the biggest threat facing the planet over the next decade and companies have become more aware of the fact that, if left unaddressed, water risks may threaten business growth and profitability.

To mitigate the water related risks, companies can improve their stakeholder relationships and develop a more resilient business.

The webinar held by Deltares will address this. Experts from CDP Climate Disclosure Leadership, South Pole Group, Deltares and building material manufacturer LafargeHolcim share key insights on how to take action beyond the fence-line.

Wider catchment basin
Water-related risks normally stem from conditions in the wider catchment basin, so to be able to address water risks it is important to look beyond the four walls of one's operations. This allows you to have an impact on the wider basin that feeds the company's water source.

It also provides an opportunity to proactively and strategically engage with key stakeholders in the catchment to reach common goals.
