Joint venture BAM Clough completes iron ore jetty in Port Hedland, Australia
BAM International and Clough Limited completed the fifth iron ore loading berth at Anderson Point Facility in Port Hedland, Western Australia for Fortescue Metals Group.
The works included the design and construction of a 306-metre long wharf extension, seven berthing dolphins, and the supply and installation of wharf conveyor modules. The construction of the AP5 marine structures at Port Hedland commenced in March 2014.
BAM’s engineering company was BAM Clough’s design partner. BIM technology was the key to speeding up the process of this fast-track design and construct project.
