Aquatech Asia 2026
Aquatech has announced its expansion to Asia, connecting global water technology leaders with one of the world’s most dynamic regions to meet Southeast Asian water demand. This new Aquatech Asia, to be held from 25-27 November 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, marks an expansion of the Aquatech portfolio, joining their flagship shows in Amsterdam, Mexico, and China. The expansion is supported by a strategic partnership between RAI Amsterdam and VNU Asia Pacific, headquartered in Bangkok, combining local market expertise with Aquatech’s global network and knowledge programme to deliver a world-class event for the region.
Water challenges and opportunities in Southeast Asia
Southeast Asia faces unique challenges and opportunities in water management, driven by rapid urbanisation, industrial growth, and the need for climate resilience. Aquatech Asia aims to address the region’s most pressing water challenges, including flood and drought management, climate resilience, and integrated water solutions. With more than $200 billion in water infrastructure investment projected across Southeast Asia between 2025 and 2030, the opportunities for collaboration are significant.
Netherlands Pavilion
The Dutch water sector will be there with the Netherlands Pavilion, a meeting point for Dutch expertise in water technology, integrated water management, flood and drought management, and climate resilience.

Aquatech Asia is also supported and endorsed by the Government of the Netherlands and the Netherlands Thai Chamber of Commerce.
Strong partnerships
Aquatech’s expansion to Bangkok marks an important step in addressing Southeast Asia’s growing water challenges,” explains Daan Burghouts, Director of Aquatech Global. “The region’s fast-paced development and climate pressures demand innovative, sustainable solutions. Our presence in Bangkok will foster collaboration and knowledge exchange, ensuring water supports progress and resilience.”
“On behalf of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Bangkok, I am proud to welcome Aquatech Asia to Bangkok. Water management is a shared priority for both our nations, and this event will provide a global stage for sharing innovations not only in water technology but also in integrated water management approaches, including flood resilience, drought mitigation, and delta management. We look forward to addressing our shared water challenges in Thailand and across the region, while offering valuable opportunities for the Dutch water sector and driving collaboration for sustainable growth.”, stated Remco van Wijngaarden, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Thailand.

Southeast Asia faces increasing risks from extreme weather events driven by climate change and rapid urbanization. Aquatech Asia intends to bring together global water experts, technology innovators, and policymakers to share knowledge and showcase solutions that empower communities and industries to build sustainable water systems.
