Aquatech Mexico 2020
Aquatech Mexico, which stands as the premier platform for process, drinking and wastewater in Mexico and Latin America, will take place from 3 to 5 September at the Centro Citibanamex in Mexico City.
Meike van Ginneken, the Water Envoy for the Kingdom of the Netherlands, will officially open Aquatech Mexico 2024. In addition, the exhibition floor will host a Netherlands Pavilion with various organisations from the Dutch water sector.
The National Water Programme 2020-2024 (PNH) of Mexico, published by the National Water Commission (CONAGUA), aims to guarantee the human rights to water and sanitation, especially for the most vulnerable population, and to make efficient use of water to contribute to the sustainable development of the productive sectors. It also seeks to reduce the population's vulnerability to floods and droughts, preserve the integrity of the water cycle to guarantee water services that depend on basins and aquifers, and improve water governance. In alignment with these goals, Aquatech Mexico tackles pressing issues such as water scarcity, water quality, and climate resilience. The conference brings together industry leaders to discuss cutting-edge technologies and strategies, serving as a catalyst for innovation and progress in Mexico's water sector.

In addition to her role in the opening ceremony, Van Ginneken will take part in a special field trip, involving several site visits organised as part of the conference programme.
