Aquatech India 2014: Captains of industry discuss water security at first Industrial Leaders Forum in India
The fifth edition of Aquatech India will host the first edition of the Industrial Leaders Forum (ILF) outside the Netherlands.
The first two forums were both held in Amsterdam and now the captains of industry will continue to discuss the global water issues at the Industrial Leaders Forum India on 7 May.
Aquatech India is a combined water technology trade exhibition and conference that will be held in Pragati Maidam, India, from 6 to 8 May.
Progess on global corporate sustainability
At the most recent Industrial Leaders Forum at Aquatech Amsterdam in November 2013, captains of industry from leading companies including Coca-Cola and Akzo Nobel and PwC converged in a lively debate on water issues related to global corporate sustainability,
Marking a decade of progress, the 2013 forum presented practical solutions to resolve the ever challenging water demands around the world.
Amongst the panel members are Suresh Babu S V of WWF-India and Anirban Ghosh of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank supports ILF and will moderate the panel.
Participating in ILF forum 2011 (f.l.t.r.): Arik Dayan of Amiad Filtration, Robert Claasen of DSM and Snehal Desai of DOW water & process solutions.
High level water conference
The Industrial Leaders Forum India is part of a three day conference that focuses on creating an enabling environment to improve water services delivery for domestic, industrial and irrigations usage.
This year the chairman’s address will be given by Mr. D B Panse, Chairman – Advisory Council, Aquatech India 2014. Amongst the speakers are Prof. Dinesh Mehta, Professor Emeritus, CEPT University, Mr. Emani Kumar, Executive Director ICLEI, India, Dr. Aman Sharma, General Secretary, Indian Water Partnership & General Manager – Environment, WAPCOS Ltd., India and Dr. S.K. Jain, Managing Director, Ground Water & Mineral Investigation Consultancy Centre Pvt. Ltd., India
High level managers from Tata Capital Cleantech, Mahindra & Mahindra and Jain Irrigation Systems will present their water stewardship journey.
