Driving the Hutuo river project is the demand for information in order for the Hebei province to restore the stream flow of the river.

Since the middle 70s’, large sections of the Hutuo river have dried up all year round, and together with underground water level continuously dropping, serious land desertification have become the primary source of dust pollution.

River restoration
Comprehensive improvements of the river's ecosystem have been planned , including the construction of wetlands.

The Hutuo river improvement project covers a section of 70 kilometers of river and banks and also includes the prediction of floods.

Eijkelkamp's technical projects team also gave a training to Chinese young water professionals about the equipment and management of the webportal.
