It has been busy days at the Netherlands Water Pavilion at the IWA World water conference in Busan, Korea. During the whole conference many guest visited the stand and had talks with Dutch water experts.

In a typical Dutch informal and open atmosphere, the ties with the global water supply community have been strengthened.

The biannual IWA congress took place in Busan, Korea from September 16 - 21.

Highlight of the international gathering was the network event organized by the Dutch embassy in Korea on September 19. Many distinguished guests attended the reception.

Dieneke Krijbolder of the association of Dutch drinking water companies (Vewin) presented the Dutch water sector to dr. Soogil Young, chairman of the Presidential Committee on Global Green Growth of the Republic of Korea.

Director Theo Schmitz of the association of Dutch drinking water companies (left) welcomed the guests. Also on the picture are (left to right) Martien den Blanken, director of the Dutch water company PWN, Vladimir Tausanovic, president, International Association of Waterworks in the Danube Catchment Area (IAWD), Vasile Ciomo, president of the Romanian Water Association and Peter Jones of the Canadian Association on Water Quality. Jones was the congress president of the previous IWA world water congress in Montreal in 2010.

A delegation from Malaysia Water Associsation visited the Netherlands Water Pavilion on September 20.
