KWR Watercycle research institute, together with the International Water Association, launches the Resource recovery best practice award.

The award will be presented for the first time during the 2015 IWA Resource recovery conference in Ghent, Belgium, from 30 August till 2 September.

The application period runs until 1 July. An international judging committee, led by professor Willy Verstraete, will announce the name of the winner on 20 July.

Plenary presentation
The winner of the Best practice award resource recovery will be invited to present his or her best practice in a 'Best practice resource recovery' showcase session during the plenary session of the IWA conference, and will receive free registration for the conference and partial compensation for travel expenses.

Special best practise website
Last year, KWR launched the Best resources from water website, which includes scores of references to successful pilots in the field of resource recovery.

A best practice, in this case, is a proven technology on resource recovery, applied at full scale, from supply to demand, which can serve as an excellent example for another country, area, company.

The web-based tool shows best practices on resource recovery from water. The goal is to share and exchange knowledge and experience, with the ultimate goal to learn from best practices and make new innovations on resource recovery possible.
