Water technology firm Pure Water Group is awarded for a fast track project for the manufacturing and commissioning of twelve Continuous Electro Deionization (CEDI) water purifiers, each with a capacity of 16 m3/h, one in operation and one stand-by.

The delivery is part of an overall 210 million dollar contract for the Greek contractor Metka to construct two power plants with a total output of 481 MW. The power plants are built on behalf of the Algerian electricity company Société Algérienne de Production de l’Electricité.

Ultra-pure water for NOx-reduction
The electricity will be generated by 12 mobile General Electric TM2500 trailer mounted aero derivative gas turbines (on top photo) .

The CEDI units are part of a water treatment plant to produce ultra-pure water for NOx-reduction from these gas turbines. Each WTP consists of containerized pre-treatment, two-pass RO and CEDI.
