A unique watershed moment for the world, the UN 2023 Water Conference is our chance to bring everyone together, commit to real and meaningful action, to ensure a water secure world for all, by all by 2030. This World Water Week, join us in uniting the world for water!
At World Water Week, Tajikistan and the Netherlands are calling for the #WWWeek community to join in uniting the world for water towards the UN 2023 Water Conference and commit to change through the Water Action Agenda. The Netherlands is co-hosting the UN 2023 Water Conference in March 2023 with Tajikistan, to review progress on the Water Action Decade and accelerate the achievement of SDG6 and other water-related SDGs.
Learn more about the UN 2023 Water Conference and the Water Action Decade at the #WWWeek exhibition floor. Here you can meet up with representatives of the UN 2023 Water Conference team at exhibition space 03:10 or room 355 (03:12).
Water is a fundamental part of all aspects of life. It integrates social, cultural, economic and political values. With climate change profoundly affecting our economies, societies and environment, water is the biggest deal breaker to achieve the internationally agreed water-related goals and targets contained in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Already, over 2 billion people live in countries experiencing high water stress, and the world is not on track to ensure everyone is reached with safe water by 2030. Without water, food production stops, cities cease to function, economic activity grinds to a halt and greenery turns to desert. Such issues cannot be addressed in isolation.
Commit to change through the Water Action Agenda now. To give an extra boost, the Netherlands and partners are hosting several sessions with direct linkages to the UN 2023 Water Conference. Are you ready to play your part?
