This year the Holland Pavilion is making its mark at Aquatech Amsterdam from 5 - 8 November 2019. The pavilion is organised by NWP, Water Alliance and ENVAQUA. Like previous years it will be an eye catching pavilion, where innovative solutions are shown. For this year we added multiple sustainable elements.

Erik Hoebergen and Deborah Meijburg, the designers of design agency Five Spices explain the concept as follows: 'We wanted to showcase the Netherlands as the leading innovator in the water sector. This edition we are in Hall 11, a new location for the Holland pavilion. To stand out in the crowd of trade pavilions, the pavilion required a strong visual presence.'

United Dutch water expertise

'The Dutch know, how to live with the challenges of water. This could only be achieved by our nature of adapting and cooperation. The banner above the Holland Pavilion shows the interdependence of the Dutch landscape, and the need to unite and work together. The banner, inspired by the famous painting Panorama Mesdag, spotlights the typical Dutch landscape with sea, dunes, dikes, rivers, polders, meadows with cows, but also cities, residential areas, highways, cycle paths, windmills and ports'.

Reduced footprint

'The Netherlands is preparing for the future. Sustainability is important in this respect and therefore the Holland Pavilion will have a reduced footprint:

  • The panorama will be on recycled mesh fabric and afterwards it will be recycled again.
  • The displays are made of crates of recycled plastic, after usage these will be returned to the supplier for re-use.
  • The eco panels (from specially grown Dutch trees for low footprint) are printed with waterbased paint and therefore can be shredded and re-used'

Come and meet the Dutch Water Sector in the Holland Pavilion, Hall 11!

See you there!
